The AGO Youth Council was a program run by and for youth ages 15-24 interested in art and the relationship between young people and art institutions. Collaborations with artists resulted in exhibitions, public art projects, interventions, large-scale events, drop-in programs, field trips, walking tours, and much more. Relationship building, eating together, and sharing life experiences was also a large part of the program. Members served on the Youth Council for one year and selected the next year’s members as a group at the end of their term. The program ran between 2000 and 2020.
Series contains materials related to the operations of the Youth Council, including program planning and proposals, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
