Records include curricula vitae; applications to universities, fellowships and positions; correspondence; academic essays as well as essays, reviews and proposals written in a professional capacity including his collaborations with Rainer Crone and sample of the work of other fiction writers. .

Series comprises records documenting Moos Publishing Limited. The company was incorporated April 5, 1984 with Irwin Schwartz as Director and Walter Moos as President and Secretary. Walter Moos is listed as the sole shareholder. Records include articles of incorporation, proofs, drafts and correspondence regarding the publishing of books and ISBN information. Moos Publishing Limited produced two major books on artists: Ken Danby : the new decade / Paul Duval (Toronto : Stoddart, 1984) and Gershon Iskowitz : painter of light / Adele Freedman (Toronto : Merritt, 1982.) .

Series comprises records of Gallery Moos director, Gerard Jennings, and includes correspondence with artists and clients, information from and about artists, valuations of works, price lists, photocopies of press clippings, invitations to exhibitions at other galleries, and images of works of art. Gallery Moos invitations were removed from these files and incorporated into Series 5 (Exhibition invitations). .

Projects, proposals and other business files

Series consists of Robert Markle’s correspondence, notes, and other documentation for various artistic and other kinds of projects, including public mural & sculpture commissions, art sales, Markleangelo’s restaurant, the “Something Brewing” program, Artists Jazz Band trip to Paris, studio rentals, government grant applications, and Markle’s employment as an instructor at the University of Guelph. Files typically contain correspondence, receipts, leases, notes, and similar records. Some project-related files contain sketches and diagrams relating to art work. Material has been filed according to project by Robert Markle, with some additional files assembled by the archivist. File titles have been taken from Markle’s file labels, except for those in square brackets, which have been supplied by the archivist.

Series consists of photographs, postcards, newspaper and magazine clippings, and original sketches collected and filed by Robert Markle for their inspirational value or personal importance. Many of these files are titled “Good Stuff” or simply “Stuff”. Some additional files have been assembled by the archivist from similar material which had not been filed.

Series consists of press clippings, exhibition invitations and other promotional material relating to Robert Markle’s career and collected by the artist. Series includes the contents of four scrapbook binders (1960-64, 1965-66, 1967-72, 1973-) assembled by Marlene Markle and containing press clippings, exhibition invitations, small catalogues, and some correspondence. Series also includes a bound volume entitled “Research Material on Robert Markle” compiled by Jim MacCammon & Associates and containing biographical information including a CV and press clippings.
