Also included are records of Baxter’s employment by Labatt’s Canada as Creative Consultant, and of his collaborations with Louise Chance Baxter.

Fonds consists of records relating to the life and work of Christiane Pflug. Textual materials include the artist’s correspondence (including translations from German to English provided by Michael Pflug), records of exhibitions, and a manuscript relating to her childhood. Visual materials include extensive photographic documentation of the artist and her family and a postcard collection used for inspirational purposes. Also included are items depicted in her paintings. The fonds also contains records documenting Michael Pflug’s activities and his life and relationship with Christiane Pflug. It includes his correspondence, manuscripts of an unpublished autobiography, and records related to the management of Christiane Pflug’s art.

Frances Loring and Florence Wyle fonds

The fonds consists first, of papers of Frances Loring: correspondence (largely genealogical), lists of her works, a collection of short stories, articles, newspaper clippings, information about Loring’s father, Frank C. Loring, and two etching plates. Second, papers and other materials of Florence Wyle: poems, diaries, journals, articles, biographical information (including birth certificates, passport), lists (including prices and exhibitions) of her works, and various etching plates. The third part of the fonds comprises a collection of photographs of works by both artists. Lastly, the 1987 accrual to the fonds contains further biographical documentation and correspondence (relating to artworks, to the Loring and Wyle Trust Fund, to personal matters including finances, and to their estate) and an additional collection of photographs. Angela Grigor-Arthur Lismer collection

The collection consists of research files created by Angela Grigor in preparation for her book Arthur Lismer: visionary art educator (McGill-Queen’s University Press, 2002). Materials in Series 1,2 and 3 are primarily photocopies from original periodicals, pamphlets and exhibition catalogues found in institutions in Canada, the United States and England. The collection contains Angela Grigor’s correspondence with these institutions and with Arthur Lismer’s daughter, Marjorie Lismer Bridges, and her daughter, Janet Cauffiel. A number of interviews are documented, including recordings of two interviews with Arthur Lismer for the CBC, and the many interviews Angela Grigor conducted with former students, fellow teachers and other associates of the artist.
