Toronto Painting '84 questionnaires

Series contains files compiled in preparation for a show of Toronto painters by the Adult Programs Department at the Art Gallery of Ontario. Letters from Peter Dale with questions attached were sent in May 1984 to the 24 artists involved in the show. There were three slightly different questionnaires, each with 7-8 questions. The letter and lists of questions can be found in the administrative files. The responses are arranged alphabetically.

Photography community mobilization records

Series comprises documentation of advocacy campaigns around three separate crises affecting the Canadian documentary photography community, in which Pamela Harris was involved in an organizing capacity. These records are not directly related to Photo Eclipse, but they involve many of the same people and are centred around the issue of public funding and support for documentary photography in Canada.

Sketchbooks and colour-mixing books

Series is comprised of the sketchbooks used and kept by Robert Fones. The volumes primarily contain sketches and drawings, often related to specific artworks, design projects or artist book works. Some of the sketchbooks, as noted in the descriptions, contain finished drawings that the artist has chosen to leave intact within the sketchbooks. The sketchbooks may also contain some diaristic writings, personal reflections and technical notes, thus there is some overlap with the journals especially in earlier volumes. Also included in this series are several colour mixing books used by Robert Fones, which consist of colour mixing formulas for several of his artworks, as noted in the descriptions.
