Collection comprises records of meetings of boards and committees; business and legal correspondence; provincial, municipal and other reports and policy documents; administrative records of organizations; research materials on artists’ co-operative housing; feasibility studies for projects; architectural drawings, and related material.

Some of these posters were featured in Will Munro: Total Eclipse, July 31-September 26, 2010, part of the Toronto Now series of exhibitions at the AGO. Silk-screening of many of the posters was carried out by Michael Comeau.

Collection consists of audio recordings of interviews with individuals who were active in the Toronto visual art community during Robert Markle’s lifetime, art historians, and friends and family of Robert Markle. Collection also includes two notebooks containing transcriptions and notes. Interviews were created and used in the process of researching Blazing Figures: A Life of Robert Markle. Tovell Family fonds

Fonds consists chiefly of correspondence received by Harold Murchison Tovell, Ruth Massey Tovell and Vincent Tovell, most notably from their friends the French artist Jacques Villon and his wife Gaby from 1928 to 1962. Other correspondence concerns the lending and donation of family artworks. Also included are catalogues for exhibitions of the works of Jacques Villon and his brother Raymond Duchamp-Villon as well as inventories and photographs of Tovell family artworks and furnishings.
