Scope and content
The Contact program was a series of touring exhibitions organized specifically for smaller centres in rural and Northern Ontario that could not accommodate full Extension Services exhibitions. The program began circulation in April 1978 and featured small exhibitions of 6-15 works on paper or reproductions that could be adapted to different spaces. Exhibitions included contemporary Canadian artists as well as historical Canadian exhibitions.
Series contains records related to Contact Exhibitions curated and circulated throughout Ontario and Canada by Extension Services. Includes correspondence with exhibiting centres, lenders, and artists; lists of works; promotional materials; news clippings; loan agreements; publicity and attendance reports; traffic receipts; condition reports; design documents; photographs; and other records.
