Contains textual records relating to the history of the AudioVisual Centre from the establishment of a lantern slide collection in 1926 to the conclusion of the AV Centre in 1995. Predominantly includes photocopies and original documents that were compiled during research to establish the history of slide and audiovisual collection at the Gallery. Includes original documents and correspondence relating to classification schemes for the collection of lantern slides, brochures describing the loan collection of slides reproductions and teaching portfolios available for loan, copies of meeting minutes and annual reports, correspondence, operating budget and statistic records, reference material from other institutions regarding reproductions and loans, printed material including clippings relating to the AV Centre and Edward P Taylor, art education, AGO News, and other related documents.
