Biographical history
Ann Davis (1946-) is a Canadian art historian, curator, museum professional and writer. She published Somewhere Waiting: The Life and Art of Christiane Pflug in 1991 (Toronto: Oxford University Press). Davis is a past director of the Nickle Arts Museum at the University of Calgary.

Scope and content
Collection consists of a series of recorded interviews gathered or commissioned by Ann Davis in the course of her research for her biographical work Somewhere Waiting: The Life and Art of Christiane Pflug. Several interviews were conducted by Ann Davis’ assistant, Elizabeth Schwaiger, who is a professional translator. The subjects of the interviews are people with whom Christiane had contact with throughout her life. For the most part, the interviews focus on the interviewees’ relationship to Christiane and/or her family. The collection also contains older recordings with the voice of Christiane herself. Full or partial transcripts are included for many of the recorded interviews. Fonds is comprised of the following series: 1. Interviews conducted by Ann Davis 2.
