History

In 1950, the Junior Women’s Committee was formed by the Women's Committee to provide mentorship opportunities for younger women, and to help the Women’s Committee with various annual events such as the annual fundraising Ball and the men's luncheons.

In 1974, the Women’s Committee was renamed the Volunteer Committee and the Junior Women’s Committee renamed the Junior Volunteer Committee in an attempt to be more inclusive and reach out to more members.

The Women’s Committee and Junior Women's Committee were disbanded in 1998, when their functions were taken on by paid staff.
